The Gay and Lesbian Singers will return with songs from the heart, house and garden in their last two concerts for 2007, entitled Don't Fence Me In.

GALS singer David Reeves says there'll be a huge range of songs on offer at their Auckland concert dates in early November. "From a light-hearted rendition of the Waltz of the Flowers to the hauntingly beautiful Irish folksong Down by the Salley Gardens, as well as many songs inspired by various rooms of your house," he reveals.

"And of course we'll sing the Cole Porter number made famous by Bing Crosby and many others - Don't Fence Me In. There's even some Beach Boys, just for the beginning of summer."

GALS' new concert dates complete a successful and busy 2007 for the group - in February they joined 150 other gay and lesbian choristers in the Out & Loud Choral Festival in Melbourne. In June, the group presented Twentieth Century GALS, featuring a song for every decade of the 20th century, and also released their first ever CD - GALS Greatest Hits. GALS also recently had the opportunity to spend a weekend up at Shakespeare Regional Park on a rehearsal weekend with the conductor of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Chorus.
