Almost 150 items donated by generous businesses and GABA members went under auctioneer Michelle Walker's hammer, held up by gorgeous volunteer guys who undressed themselves to help secure those all-important bids.

There were several bargains secured by eager bidders, including dinner for four at Caluzzi cabaret restaurant sold for $200, an audition for Shortland Street sold for $150, dinner for four guests at Labour MP Chris Carter's home going for $400 and a limited edition framed print by Billy Apple for World AIDS Day sold for $325.

The best deal of the auction might have been the Civil Union Ceremony package, valued at $595, going for just $60.

The next GABA event is the regular networking drinks at Niche Café in Mount Eden, this Wednesday 5 December from 6pm.
