Auckland's long-running women's only clubbing night is moving to a new venue, just a few doors down on Karangahape Road.

As of Saturday 15 March, Flirt will move from Bacio at 309 K' Road to take up residence at the newly renovated Zanzibar on top of the Crest Hotel - on the corner of K Road and Pitt Street.

“I'm so excited to be able to hold the Flirt nights in a funky, sexy bar, and I think Auckland's lesbians will be very happy with this great new venue," says Flirt's creator Sarah Lambourne.

"The décor is gorgeous and the upstairs bar has its very own outdoor balcony."

The Crest bar and hotel is directly opposite Family bar. "It's great to be opposite Auckland's most busy gay bar and also be in the heart of K' Road – Auckland's unofficial gay road," says Lambourne.

Flirt is Auckland's most successful women's only club night, attracting a large number of lesbian and bi women to both its regular and special theme nights. Flirt now runs on the first and third Saturdays of every month.

Lambourne expects Flirt's first night at Zanzibar to be a fun and exciting new beginning. "Our resident DJ Dee will be playing all night, plus we have some special shows lined up," she reveals.
