The Gay Auckland Business Association's monthly social mixer, formally named Fruits in Suits, will move back to its 'spiritual home' of Karangahape Road from next month.

The popular business networking event moved to Niche Café in Mount Eden late last year, but will now move again, to the upstairs Purple bar of the Crest on the corner of Pitt Street and K' Road.

"The team at Niche have been wonderful, and we're sad to be bidding them farewell," says GABA President Mark Thomas. "But GABA is going home - to K' Road.

"The Crest is a lovely venue - and it's totally gay," he told the crowd at last night's GABA meeting.

The first GABA event at the Crest will be on Wednesday 7 May. The newly-gay owned venue is also home to Flirt night for women, and Pushup nights hosted by drag entertainer Tess Tickle.
