Anti-gay 'morals' campaigner and former Christian Heritage Party leader Graham Capill - sentenced to nine years' jail in 2005 after pleading guilty to charges of sexual molestation and rape involving girls between the ages of five and twelve - will soon get a parole hearing.
Capill, 49, is able to have a parole hearing after serving a third of his sentence, under the terms of sentencing laws at the time he was convicted.
The hearing is understood to be set down for late June.
The offenses occurred between 1990 and 1999 while 'committed Christian' Capill repeatedly denounced gays and lesbians as immoral and a threat to families, children and society.
Capill, the father of ten children, was leader of the Christian Heritage Party for thirteen years and for much of that time seemed obsessed with promoting a perceived threat of homosexuality.
