Former Prime Minister Helen Clark has proven popular among women in a survey by popular gay dating website gay-parship.co.uk.
The Australian newspaper is reporting the results of a "which world leader would you most like to date?" poll on the website.
Only Irish President Mary McAleese was more popular amongst lesbians on the site, getting 25% compared to Clark's 22%.
US President-elect Barack Obama topped the list of men's favourites with 52% of the votes. Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero got 19% and French President Nicolas Sarkozy received 12%. NZ's new PM John Key didn't make the list, and British PM Gordon Brown got only 4% of the vote.
"Whatever their outward stance on gay issues, world leaders - at least those in democracies that neither outlaw nor scapegoat homosexuals - would doubtless secretly love to maximise their own little share of support from Earth's ballpark-estimated 600 million gay citizens," says Adrian Gillan, the website's spokeperson.
