Dancing with the Stars winner Tamati Coffey has told the Women's Weekly that he's got a long-term boyfriend, who was cheering him on at the live final show last week.
The 29-year-old early-morning TV weatherman didn't want to reveal too much about his man, but did say that they'd been together two years, and that he'd been joining Coffey's dancing rehearsals and giving feedback as the show progressed.
Coffey also told the magazine of his Aunt's death in the morning before his big win, and his parents' pride watching his dance to victory on the show.
Coffey's win will raise a hefty sum of money for LGBT support network Rainbow Youth. He recalls taking a boyfriend to his school ball, but knows some young gay men have a hard time at school, "and that's where Rainbow Youth makes such a huge difference."
