After over sixteen years of hosting Auckland's gay breakfast radio show, broadcaster Ross Stevenson says he wants a break and is seeking keen new LGBT voices to take it into the future.

"I'm not stepping back completely, I'll still be involved but also want to let someone else have a go," he tells GayNZ.com, adding that his long-time co-host Lexie Matheson has left the show due to her increased work commitments.

"Doing the show each week is fun and interesting - and it's addictive, which is why I've done it so long," he says.

The G & T Show - short for 'Gay and Thursday' - is broadcast live each Thursday morning from 7 until 8am on Auckland's 104.6 Planet FM. Each episode features gay local and international news, commentary and a range of music, and often includes interviews with LGBT movers-and-shakers and in-studio guests.

Stevenson says he's simply looking for a community-minded person of either gender who can bring some new ideas and energy to the show: "Someone creative who can put their stamp on it." Interested people can email Ross at trya69@ihug.co.nz.

The G & T Show is currently on its holiday break and will return on Thursday 14 January.
