Tess Tickle and Melbourne-based ex-pat New Zealander Polly Filla will headline the Pop –Up Burlesque Revue, at the Galatos venue this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 10pm.

"It's a burlesque bonanza," Tess Tickle tells GayNZ.com. "From movie musical mayhem to vaudeville variety, and fruity, feathered, frilly, frocked-up fabulousness.

The diva duo's special guests over the three nights include Morag Magnolia Brownlie, Miss Leda Petit, The Vixens and Karma Chaos, Mary Magdalena, Tatiana Petites & Amanda La Whore, Mimi Boiz & Carmit Cox, Dallas Vixen, Anarexia, Felicity Frockaccino, DJ James Leuii, DJ Samuel Holloway, DJ Stefan Knight, Go-Go-Boys and more. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Auckland's Aroha Festival began on Friday night with a gala opening show at the Aotea Centre, featuring the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. The fest continues all week with shows, movies, talks and activities, wrapping up next weekend with a free family afternoon of entertainment in Beresford Square.
