The Pope has been pictured blessing Uganda’s Speaker, who had promised to make her nation’s heinous anti-gay bill a “Christmas gift”.

Rebecca Kadaga was given the blessing during a mass attended by hundreds of Pilgrims at the Vatican, where she went to meet the Pope and attend a human rights conference.

“I think it is something that I will remember all my life. It’s a very great moment and I thank God for this opportunity,” Kadaga said minutes after meeting the Pope, Uganda’s New Vision reports.
