Wed: George Takei

Takei, 71, and Brad Altman, 54, had almost 200 guests, including Star Trek castmates Nichelle Nichols ('Uhura') and Walter Koenig ('Chekhov') who was best man.

The event took place at the Japanese American National Museum in downtown LA.

The couple wrote their own vows, reports the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Holding hands with Altman, Takei told him: "I vow to care for you as you've cared for me … and to love you as my husband and the only man in my life."

The priest pronounced them "spouses for life."
