A Church of England priest has been condemned by his own London diocese after he wrote on his blog that gay men should have their backsides tattooed with the slogan "Sodomy can seriously damage your health."

Rev Peter Mullen, 66, claims the comment was a joke, but the church regarded it as "highly offensive" and ordered it to be removed from Mullen's website.

Gay equality group Outrage! says the comment is "Neanderthal," reports the BBC.
