Asian gay sex survey launches New Year's Day

Asia's largest-ever internet-based gay men's sex survey will be launched in ten languages on New Year's Day.

Previous similar research, conducted in English, indicates that that one in five Asian men who have sex with men (MSM) do not use condoms consistently with casual male partners while one in three do not use condoms consistently with regular male partners.

The 2010 Asia Internet MSM Sex Survey will be launched on the Fridae.com website on January 1, with 140 questions presented simultaneously in English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese,Cantonese, Japanese, Thai, Tagalog, Hindi, Melayu (Bahasa Malaysia) and Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia). It will focus on sexual and social behaviour with questions about HIV testing history, knowledge and attitudes towards HIV, drug and alcohol use and travel history.
