Conservative anti-gay New South Wales MP Fred Nile is denying he has accessed porn websites from his office.

He says members of his staff were simply researching links on certain websites, denying a report in The Daily Telegraph that he accessed porn sites up to 200,000 times.

Nile told 2GB host Alan Jones that an audit is being carried out in Parliament of people who have accessed porn online.

He said he doesn't have a computer in his office and his staff have been following links on websites connected to groups such as the Sex Party, to investigate what organisations were linking to on their sites.

"I am sure none of them are accessing the computers to view pornography or adult films," he said.

Nile is stringent in his anti-gay views and has been a foe to GLBT Australians, describing Mardis Gras as a "public parade of immorality and blasphemy" and pushing for the NSW anti-vilification law to be repealed.

He is also against allowing same-sex couples to adopt through the Adoption Amendment (Same-Sex Couples) Bill, which has been introduced to parliament by Independent Member for Sydney Clover Moore and will come down to a conscience vote.

At a rally held by Conservative Christian groups on Tuesday, Samesame.com.au reports he 'bizarrely' claimed some women would abort their children rather than risk them being raised by gay couples.
