Drag CalendarWe have three of the Cartier Trust’s amazing fundraising drag calendars to give away!
The drag calendar project has been led by drag queen Tess Tickle and photographer Jarrad Mapp to raise cash for the Cartier Bereavement Trust. The Trust has its roots in drag – it was created in the memory of much-loved drag artist Courtney Cartier, who died in September 2000, aged just 32, from lymphatic cancer after living with HIV and AIDS for some years.
There was little money available for her funeral, raising a wider issue, and leading to the creation of the Trust to help fund the funerals of those who die from AIDS-related illnesses.
The 2015 calendar features the Caluzzi girls, Buckwheat, the LYC girls, Tess Tickle, Buckwheat, Dallas Vixon, Kita Mean, Betty Ford, drag king Tai, Anita Wigl’it, Trenyce and Arabia and more.
The calendars are just $20 and are a great Christmas present idea. If you want a copy posted out, email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Cartier Drag Calendars are also on sale at venues across the Auckland, including Caluzzi, Urge, NZAF offices, Marcello’s, First Scene, Lateshift and Encore. In Wellington you can buy calendars at S&M’s and in Christchurch you can pick calendars up at the NZAF offices.
To enter, just tell us who your favourite drag star in the calendar is.
