S&M (Scotty & Mal's) Cocktail Bar is an intimate bar & cocktail lounge located on Wellington's iconic Cuba Street.
Named after owners Scott Kennedy and Malcolm Vaughan, who have been together for 26 years, this stylish venue features stylish décor, chandeliers and high walls that make it a popular spot for LGBT locals and tourists.
The bar describes itself as "Your friendliest, most sociable and all inclusive little bar in Wellington - with great cocktails" and prides itself on making "everyone feel welcome when visiting our venue".

IVY Bar & Cabaret

IVY Bar & Cabaret is "Wellington's favorite queer bar" that has been hosting the queers of Wellington for 13 years. Located in the basement of the historic James Smith department store, this intimate venue prides itself on creating a safe space for everyone with the queer community in mind.
IVY offers drag, jazz, karaoke and there's always something going on. Known for awesome themed parties and drag and burlesque shows that are among the best. IVY maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and prejudice, ensuring all patrons can enjoy their time without concerns.
