Auckland Pride Parade members vote to keep board

From GayNZ Team, 6 December 2018

Last night, members of Auckland Pride have voted to keep its current board, after it faced a vote of no confidence for not allowing uniformed police to march in the 2019 parade

At the SGM last night, the no-confidence motion was defeated, with 325 in support of keeping the current board, and 273 votes against.

The decision by the board to not allow uniformed police to march in the parade has split the rainbow community and led to several major sponsors and other community groups to pull their support or not apply to walk in the parade.
