Zowie and Manthyng will knock your socks off with their performances

A double dose of electro-pop will lead the stage line-up at the 2012 Big Gay Out, with Zowie and Manthyng headlining the annual gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender gathering at Auckland's Coyle Park on Sunday 12 February.
Zowie lived up the hype following her all over the globe at a high-energy performance at Auckland alternative women's night Proud Mary in September. The pint-sized artist will co-headline the Big Gay Out with Manthyng, a Dunedin electro-pop duo which has hyped up gay venues across the country with its campy, fun and outrageous shows.
The Big Gay Out will also have performances from the amazing hip hop crew Dmynority, lesbian rockers Razor, the Finale and Caluzzi girls and Petra and her Poi Mob. The full line-up is:
Te Roopu Kapahaka o Hokianga, Lorraine Butler, Sheree Waitoa, Finale Cabaret, Pearls of Meganesianz, Ngaire & Noreen, Caluzzi Girls, Kamp David, D’mynority, DNA Spectacular, Titch Marvel & the Paparazzi Dolls, Razor, Manthyng, Petra and her Poi Mob, Zowie.
Last time, more than 10,000 people attended and organisers Get It On! say in 2012 the Big Gay Out promises to be the best yet.
Volunteers are being sought to help on the day doing everything from traffic control, collecting and taking photos, to applying tattoos and distributing condoms. If you're keen, register here
