Last night's Mr. Urge Leather NZ 2008 contest at Urge men's bar on K' Road raised $800 for Body Positive, found a Kiwi contender for Melbourne's Leather Pride Festival, and provided the crowd with an interactive BDSM show.

Blonde Russian dominator Christian, 26, whipped the crowd into a frenzy with patrons lining up to be disciplined, but it was Greg who eventually beat out six other contestants to take the title and prize package donated by Centurian Sauna, Basement club, Video Expo and more.

Contestants showed off their leather looks in front of a panel of judges. MC Paul Heard asked contestants probing questions about leather culture, with hopefuls saying they enjoyed the feel, sexiness and attitude of wearing leather. Some had a large collection of leatherwear at home, and several were into the BDSM scene.

Contestants selling raffle tickets and leather items auctioned off on stage raised over $800 for HIV+ support network Body Positive.

Along with his official trophy and goodie collection, Greg receives a trip to Melbourne's Leather Pride Festival in September, with $500 spending money.
