Entrants are now being sought for Mr. Gay Auckland 2008 at Family nightclub on K' Road, reveals hostess Miss Ribena.

The yet-to-be-finalised prize package will include a return trip to Sydney's Mardi Gras 2009 on the Air New Zealand Pink Flight, "plus a huge range of generous prizes from some of Auckland's most prominent gay businesses," she tells GayNZ.com.

Heats will commence on Saturday 2 August and continue every Saturday throughout August. The Grand Final will be held on the first Sunday of Spring, Sunday 7 September.

Keen contestants should register now with the bar staff at Family, by phoning Miss Ribena on 021 1704425, or by emailing mrgayauckland@gmail.com.

Meanwhile at Kiss bar across K' Road, there have been so many hot dancers at Friday's Fluffy night recently that the venue has decided to run an Ultimate Fluffy Go-Go Dancer competition to see just who is the best, says party promoter DJ Marty.

"The competition is open to both guys and girls - and all you have to do is look hot while dancing on a podium to your favourite dance track," explains Marty. "How easy is that?"

All contestants will win bar tabs just for entering, and the winner of the grand final will receive $1,000 worth of cool prizes, including a Canon Ixus camera, DJ Station clothes vouchers, bar tabs and more.

The dates for the competition are yet to be announced. Participants shouldcontact Marty for more details via email at marty@salvationparty.co.nz, ask Jon at DJ Station fashion or one of the staff at Fluffy or Ultra at K' Road's Kiss bar each weekend.
