Following more complaints in the Mills' case, another man testing positive for HIV is the 5th to be diagnosed with the disease after allegedly coming into contact with the accused.

Mills has previously appeared in the Auckland District Court on 14 charges relating to 7 current complainants; 6 counts of intent to infect with HIV, one of attempt to infect, as well as 6 counts of grievous bodily harm and one of attempted grievous bodily harm.

GayNZ.com spoke with Bruce Kilmister of Body Positive in relation to the latest man diagnosed with HIV.

"When name suppression was lifted, we encouraged everyone to get tested. To date, 57 people have done so," said Kilmister.

Mills is due to appear again on Wednesday in the Auckland District Court where further charges may be laid.

Kilmister urges any other people who believe that they may have been in contact with Mills to contact 0800 HIV LINE (0800 448 5463)
