A weekend convention dedicated to popular lesbian TV drama The L Word will give the show's fans in Sydney a chance to meet three of its stars, take part in discussions, swap merchandise and connect with other loyal viewers.

Rachel Shelley who played Helena Peabody, Laurel Hollowman who played Tina Kennard, and Marlee Matlin who played Jodi Lerner are lined up as guests at the event, planned for 22-24 January 2010 at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre.

After six seasons, The L Word finished this year and the entire wardrobe and props departments for the show were auctioned off. A spin-off was planned, but is now in doubt as the show's host network Showtime declined to pick it up.

Tickets for the Sydney convention go on sale tomorrow, with more details available on its official website.
