As Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie is set to premiere in Australia, its gay Austrian star character Bruno has revealed his admiration for Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.
"The reason I'm late is I just had breakfast in bed with Kevin Rudd," the fashionista told Rove McManus on his TV chatshow.
"That guy is like, uber cute. I thought Obama was like the hottest guy in the world until I met Kevin."
Bruno has some harsh words for Aussie men's style though: "To be honest I'm a little bit disappointed because I know 150 years ago Britain sent all their gay guys over here, so I expected a little bit more flair."
The red carpet was rolled out for Bruno to arrive at Sydney's State Theatre last night on a white horse, and dressed in shining armour.
The Bruno movie, out in cinemas worldwide on Friday 10 July, has had to be re-edited following Michael Jackson's death. A scene featuring LaToya Jackson has been deleted.
