"One Voice, One Message, Heard Around the World."

Kiwis from the NZ AIDS Foundation are among dozens of proud LGBT people from many countries to show their support for 2009's International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO) in a special world-wide YouTube video.

A very diverse mixture of people from a wide range of nations got involved, including LGBT citizens of China, Australia, the UK, Israel, Samoa - and of course our Kiwis at 3:10" in the video.

The production was part of a range of activities and events organised around the world to happen yesterday, Sunday 17 May 2009.

IDAHO is commemorated annually as the anniversary of the World Health Organisation removing homosexuality from its list of mental illnesses in 1990.

As usual in New Zealand there were no specific events to mark IDAHO, with LGBT community organisational energy instead focussed on the annual AIDS Candlelight Memorials in five cities around the country.

Watch many nations of the world show their pride in the IDAHO video shown below, and learn more about the International Day Against Homophobia on the official IDAHO website.
